The power of a private equity firm lies largely in its network of investors. An extensive network of interested and aggressive investors generally means a greater opportunity of investment for those project managers that require funding. Regular maintenance of the network, and continued updates on what exactly investors are looking for is the only way to ensure that private equity clients are able to gain the funding they need quickly and seamlessly. This ethos is something that founder Joseph Polanco has helped to establish and evolve with private equity firm Corcoran Slane.
Joseph Polanco enjoyed a successful 10 year career working within the construction financing industry and while he successfully helped clients gain the funding they needed, he also noted that the process could prove a long and difficult one for a variety of reasons. As well as phony investors and timewasters, other problems included substandard submission packs. These packages are used to sell the merits of a particular project to the investor so that they will be more inclined to give the funding that is needed.
Many construction companies simply don’t have the experience or knowledge of how the private equity industry works; a problem that is exacerbated by the fact that different investors look for different things. Joseph Polanco takes a hands on approach to helping Corcoran Slane clients find exactly the type of funding they need from the most appropriate investors and this is highlighted by the accelerated acceptance periods and a large number of existing, happy customers.
